REAM is not a finance broker. However we have many banking contacts in Poland. We are aware of which banks finance certain types of transactions (N. Baggott was Credit Director of a major polish Bank in 2001 - 2004).
Like many markets, Polish banks largely withdrew from development financing in 2009 mainly due to two reasons:
- most polish banks are owned by a “foreign” bank and the “parent” experienced problems in other markets which impacted on capital availability and general risk management,
- over exposure to development projects.
In late 2010 some banks have started lending again but with very cautious and quite high margins (from a historic perspective).
If you are considering the following:
- bank financing for real estate development (combined with an investment loan facility following completion of the development phase),
- refinancing of an existing or expiring bank loan,
- acquisition financing,
contact us so we can discuss your requirements and support you with a tailored solution.
